Today I made a mug by following a tutorial. First I drew half of the mug using lines and splines. Then I smart dimension the lines. After that I revolve the sketch to make it look 3D. And then I drew a spline on the side of the mug and moved it around to make a handle. Then I swept boss/base the handle , which extrudes curved lines. After that I clicked shell to make a hole inside of the mug. At the end I colored the mug. Also, today I made a post cap to remember and practice how to read a blueprint and sketch it on solidworks. First I drew a circle, smart dimension it, and extruded it. Then I made another circle on top of the previous one I made and smart dimension it and extrude it too. And then I drew another circle on the second one, smart dimension, and extrude cut it to make a hole in the inside. After that I had to fillet all the edges and the post cap is done. Today I signed up on a website called Makerbot , which is similar to solidworks. You can make a drawing and request for it to be printed, But today after we all signed up some error happened and we couldn’t use it.
